Getting Started

Requirements

• Two Android devices (phones or tablets)
• Internet connection on both devices (required to connect)
• Download NRP Sim Lite from Google Play Store

iOS version coming soon to App Store

Setup

Choose Device Roles

• Monitor Device: Acts as pulse oximeter simulator (displays vital signs)
• Controller Device: Used by trainer to regulate vitals during scenarios

Connect Devices

1. Open the app on both devices
2. On Monitor Device: Tap Monitor Mode → A 6-digit session code appears
3. On Controller Device: Tap Controller Mode → Enter the 6-digit session code manually
4. Devices connect automatically (requires internet on both)

Note: Screen stays awake during active training and automatically sleeps when paused (to save battery)

Running a Scenario

Start the Scenario

1. Press "Baby Birth" button when baby is born in simulation exercise (starts timer on Monitor)
2. Press "Play Vitals" when pulse oximeter probe is connected to simulation mannequin

Control Vital Signs

• Heart Rate: Use + or - buttons (long press for continuous change)
• Oxygen Saturation: Use + or - buttons similarly
• Quick Start: Press 40, 80, or 110 buttons to jump to specific heart rates

End the Scenario

1. Press "End Scene" when simulation scenario is complete
2. Tap the summary icon (bottom status bar, right side) to view scenario summary

Quick Tips

• Keep both devices online during the entire session
• If connection fails: close and reopen the app, then retry
